Jimi Jo Meretsky Friedman, born in Detroit, Michigan, is a Midwest girl at heart. After participating in many Arts programs, Jimi Jo decided to focus her studies on a major in Photography. She was classically trained in Fine Art Black and White Photography at Eastern Michigan University, where she also double majored in Telecommunications and Film. Upon graduation, her career began in Television and Film Production and took her from Detroit to Chicago. Jimi Jo lived and worked in Chicago for nearly 15 years, where she met her husband and started their family. They relocated to Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, in 2014 with their 2 children. Jimi Jo is now able to get back to what she loves, capturing and creating images. She is thrilled to be fulfilling her dream of getting her work into the public eye. Images found in nature are Jimi Jo’s passion, as is traveling the world. Jimi Jo wants you to see and feel her images exactly as she captured them in the moment. She does not use filters nor does she alter her images digitally. A square format has recently become her signature look. Jimi Jo has simplified the shooting process by solely using her iPhone camera. She doesn’t want to miss an image, even on a walk around the block or a trip to the park. She enjoys the ease of shooting, combined with seeing the great detail that comes through, which you would only expect to see from a high-end camera.
Lisa Lehmann began her photography career in Madison in 1996 by photographing real estate, people and products for her customer’s websites. Website design was a side business to her career in radio. Lisa moved to Sheboygan in 2005 and opened her studio Lehmann Photo Art & Design. Her book of photography “Lake Michigan: The Wisconsin Shore” was published in 2014 by the Black River Press. She enjoys teaching photography, playing music on her violin, and walks along Lake Michigan with her husband John and their dogs.
